A New Year, Some Old Remixes

Came across this remix of N.A.S.A. - Gifted which features Kanye West, Santigold, and Lykke Li who was getting alot of attention in 2011.

N.A.S.A - Gifted (Steve Aoki Remix)

I'm a little embarrassed to say I like these next two songs, after all it's Ke$ha & Dev typical top 40s crap, but these remixes make them into something I could definitely dance to at a club and not be ashamed.

Ke$ha - Blow (Cirkut Remix)

Dev - Dancing In The Dark (It's The DJ Kue Remix)

You've probably heard the next track from the DJ/producer duo Bingo Players on dance stations as they were sitting on the top 10 in 2011 for quite some time. They'll be playing in Toronto on March 8, 2012 at The Hoxton if you want to catch them live.

Bingo Players - Cry (Just A Little)

I feel like I posted about this next duo's new album almost a year ago and it's finally coming out this March in North America. Here's a cool remix from a track on the new album titled Sounds From Nowheresville (And I was right the studio totally made them change the name from Kunst after they submitted a picture of the name with Katie blocking out the S with her arms as the new album sleeve).

The Ting Tings - Silence (Bag Raiders Remix)

Colours (Xaphoon Jones Mega Edit) - Grouplove

Xaphoon Jones has released a second edit to his remix of Colours by Grouplove. Something about the frist remix didn't quite do it for me but man does this mega edit hit me right where I need it. Its perfectly understated while still managing to bring the noise so you dont sleep on it. This song is a great addition to your party, road trip, chill session & snowboarding playlists. Hey its December can't a guy want to hit the slopes. Enjoy

Secret Weapon (Alex Metric Remix) - The Whip

Well as some of you might know Alex Metric was in Toronto over the weekend to play a show at the newest and hotest place to feature electro show's The Hoxton which if im not mistaken is at least partially owned by non other than Kenny Hotz of Kenny vs Spenny fame. Ill be writing a bigger review of the Hoxton and Alex Metric soon but I just had to get this song out to you guys ASAP. Its a new remix and I must say its quite a banger once you hit 2 minutes in you will see what i'm talking about.

Will do (Mylo Remix) - TV On The Radio

Here is a great remix of TV On The Radios song "Will Do" by none other then Mylo. You may remember Mylo from his smasher "Drop The Pressure"... if not go check it out. He does a great job of not erasing the soul of TOTR track and produces a great upbeat remix which is sure to lift anyones spirit.

Rolling In Deep (Bullwack Remix) - Adele

First let me give a shout out to Jtokyo and JediK killing it on their posts. Some really great tunes to listen to.  Hopefully this next track will live up to the hype. Adele has been blowing up on blogs lately so i think its only fitting that she is featured a few times on DP this week. Today its in dubstep form, with a great remix by UK producer Bullwack who has only recently emerged on the scene winning a contest with his first remix. Bullwack chose Rolling In Deep which is one of my more loved songs by Adele and i must say he hit this one out of the park. The perfect mix of high's and low's really help this dub song stand out from the rest. Check it!

And I'm Back! - Embody (Kavinsky Remix) - SebastiAn

Whats up my peeps. I know, I know its been forever. I hope we havent lost you during the Dirty Physics prohibition, I was chillin with my man Osama but we all know how that turned out. We sure were grooving to some sick electro tracks new and old but like all parties it was time to smell the bacon and get back to business. So without further adieu here is the first track I want you all to sex on. Its a great remix of an amazing song from one of the many heavyweights out of Ed Banger, if you havent listened to the original please go and do so. If you have then feast your ears on this heavy remix by none other than the great Kavinsky. Party On Dudes!

Oliver aka U-Tern is a Vancouver, Canada based DJ with a ear for dance and disco. I dont think we talk enough about Canadian DJs so here is our chance. Take a listen and we will be sure to post when he comes to Toronto.

Moment For Life (Monsieur Adi Remix) - Nicki Minaj

Monsieur Adi is someone who always knows how to deliver when it comes to wicked remixes, club bangers or chill tracks. This is definitely not what is was expecting when i saw this Paris-based producer was taking on Nicki, but man am I liking what he has to deliver, a nice light synth tune to help you get through a boring night. Sorry no download link as of yet, just a little too fresh for the internet. Enjoy

"The Wall" (Holtoug Bootleg) - Pink Floyd

Here's a track that caught my attention while sorting through the old inbox. Danish producer/artist Holtoug's take on Pink Floyd's The Wall. Not too much has been added here to this oldie but goodie. However some solid texturing/editing/and subtle additions make for a great update to a great song. Enjoy.

Deadmau5 4x4 = 12

I don't really need an excuse to post more Deadmau5, but I have one! His new album is being released next week on Tuesday December 7th. Some of the album has already been released over the span of 2010 in singles such as 'Some Chords' (previously featured on DP) and 'Animal Rights' which featured a team up with Wolfgang Gartner. Here are two new tracks of the album which are sure to be released as singles. Also, if you're in Toronto over the holidays and want to see Deadmau5 live, he'll be playing at The Guvernment on Boxing Day Dec 26th, for reduced cover guestlist you can check out the event page on facebook and send Shaya an e-mail at Shaya007@gmail.com

Update: Event Page has been shut down and guestlist canceled. You now need to simply hack off an arm or a leg to get into the show

My Peace Offering... Overshoot (DJ Mehdi Remix) - Zombie Nation

Hello - Martin Solveig feat. Dragonette

Heard this new track at the Alex Metric show in Toronto at Wrongbar last weekend and had to add it, even though it isn't an Alex Metric song. Martin Solveig is a DJ and producer from Paris, France and has collaborated with Dragonette on a previous single 'Boys & Girls'. Check him out here.

Beastie Boys - Sabotage (Alex Metric Re-Edit)

Faxing Berlin (Grifta Dubstep Remix) - Deadmau5

I had the pleasure of listening to this song on a friends XM radio while driving home from my cottage this past weekend. I didnt know who did the remix at the time but I knew I just needed to find out and share with everyone. Grifta did it with this one, its on constant replay on my iPhone not to mention my goto track when im listening to music with some Beats by Dr Dre. This track really is a fucking banger compared to the original so check it out.

Barbera Streisand (Baby Diego Edit From Scratch) - Duck Sauce

This is one of a few remix's to Duck Sauces latest and so far unreleased track. Personally this is the first one to sound clean and thought out. So thats why it is gracing the walls of Dirty Physics. And you can all be sure that once the official track is released all you need to do is come here and check it out.

New Playlist

Time to create a new playlist for your ipods...

Not much more can be said about mash-up Gods STV SLV and ABX over at Hood Internet. Here is their take on Drake.

"(This Shit Was) All I Know" (Hood Internet Mash-up) - Drake vs. Free Energy

The Hood Internet - (This Shit Was) All I Know [Drake x Free Energy] by hoodinternet

This song sounds like it got the treatment from the Twelves. Great song, unique voice, fat beat.

Imagine if Breakbot had a flux capacitor or was born 30 years ago. This is the music we would hear from him.

Sorry I dont have more for you but keep checking back. Still getting things in order here.

Hold On Feat Amber Coffman (Sub Focus Remix) - Rusko

I really have to give credit to Sub Focus with this remix, what a different sounding remix. I find too many people take a song change it around a little and then take credit calling it their remix. This is the opposite, it screams originality and talent. Give this dub step a listen you wont regret it.

Music to kick off your weekend

It's Friday! Here's some tracks to groove to while you're getting ready to go out and hit the club, or see Iron Man 2, or while sitting at home playing the new maps on Call of Duty...I'll probably be doing all three.

"Shelter" (Death to the Throne remix) - The XX

Great remix of this tune by The XX . Look for more remixes of their self titled album to come, maybe even some by our buddy JTokyo.

Some news and tracks

Can you tell I couldn't figure out what picture to put with this post? Sorry for the delay between posts but google's player decided to stop working one day randomly. As you can tell this is what we mainly use but alas we are making the switch to flash player. So be patient with us as we go back and redo all the posts with the google player in them. So as I am learning to use this, here is 4 tracks that I have been meaning to post but haven't had the time.

"Little Secrets" (Plus Move Remix feat. Future Kiddd) - Passion Pit

I love passion pit and this is a great funky remix to one of their now classics. Starts slow but its worth the wait.

"Four Floors" (Feat. Diplo) - Sunday Girl

"Something Good Can Work" (Ted & Francis Remix) - Two Door Cinema Club

Two Door Cinema Club has been making its way around the blogs and this song should be making its way on your ipod as you make your way to the beach.

"Worse It Gets" (RAC Remix) - Penguin Prison

I feel this track should be used in a movie montage somewhere.
