Dec.27 Top 10 + 5

Finally getting around to making my first post, procrastination is a bitch, especially around the holiday times. Since every week I filter through a bunch of new and old music I find, I decided to make a post of my personal top choices every Sunday. The plan is to post top 10 electro tracks plus bonus 5 tracks, something to chill to, some lighter material. Bangers can tire you out at times so it’s always a good idea to throw something else into the mix. Some music will be new, some old, some you might have heard before, some you should def. hear if you haven’t before. So here are this week’s Top10+5 in no particular order.

Top 10:

I Can Make The Pain Disappear – Fear of Tigers

Download
I can’t believe Fear of Tigers is still unsigned, some label better claim this hidden gem quickly. This is the first track off his debut album, Cossus Snufsigalonica that was released just recently, and if you haven’t heard it before get on that NOW! For me this is def. one of the best albums this year, every single track is solid, no fillers at all. And the best news of all is that Fear of Tigers himself released the album for free download. Get it quick (http://rapidshare.com/files/314823133/Fear_of_Tigers_-_Cossus_Snufsigalonica.rar) The album is a fusion of dream-wave, synth-pop and shoe-gaze with a bit of house.

Sirkka – Fear of Tigers

Download
Couldn’t resist not to include another track from Fear of Tigers. This one got a different feel than the previous one. The synthlines really remind me of Deadmau5 for some reason.

Warp 1.9 (GTRONIC BadAssRMX) – The Bloody Beetroots

Download
The title doesn’t lie; this really is one of the most Badass remixes of Bloody Beetroots I’ve heard to date. The bassline just destroys your sub, so turn the bass up to get the full effect, you won’t be dissapointed.

Sometimes – Miami Horror

Download
The new track by the amazing Miami Horror, I’ve been hooked ever since his Bravado EP. This track is a bit different that his previous ones, a bit more dream-wave, but nonetheless captivating. Check out the whole EP which includes remixes by Fred Falke and G.L.O.V.E.S. Can’t wait for his debut album, hopefully to be dropping beginning or middle of 2010

Cherry (Feat Kali) (Mustard Pimp Dark Remix) - Mustard Pimp

Download
An oldie, but def. a goodie. Never fails to get a party pumpin.

The Human Touch (Sidechains Remix) – Heads We Dance

Download
A great remix of Heads We Dance, a more electro twist on their pop style. The track starts out pretty classy, and just gets bigger and bigger as the song goes. The cutup vocals mixed with strong synthlines don’t disappoint.

Digital Love (Algeronics Remix) - Daft Punk

Download
Hands down one of the best Daft Punk remixes as of late. It’s a risky move for a DJ to remix Daft Punk, because as results show its very rare to find a remix that will make them proud or is even worthy. Algeronics turns the song into a dubstep gem. The wonky bass works just perfectly with the vocals.

Disco Attack – FM Attack

Download
Solid synth-pop/dream-wave track from the new producer FM Attack, recently discovered and signed by Tiga. He recently dropped his debut album Dreamatic, check it out.

Iron Man - GTRONIC

Download
Once again another Bassline killer from GTRONIC of Belgium. Wait for the drop halfway into the track, blows you away how low bass can go. Check out his new EP.

Let The Bass Kick Original Mix – Chuckie
Download
An oldie, but a classic house track. Its just so damn catchy, never fails to pump up the crowd at a party.

+5 (Chill)

New Theory - Washed Out

Download
Check out this new EP “Life of Leisure”. Beachy, headphonic, chill synth-pop you can kick back and relax to.

Crystalised – the xx

Download
All the hype is true. The xx came to the scene out of nowhere, and blew everyone away. Their debut album is among my top 3 of this year no doubt.

Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime - The Field

Download
A really moving track from his sophomore album “Yesterday and Today”.

Is This Really What You Want? - "Jesus Christ." (the indie band)

Download
A side project of Tao Lins and Carles, the popular blogster of Hipster Runoff. You might recognize the vocals from a viral audio that was going around the net a while back. Their tentatively titled Is This Really What You Want? EP is to be released in the Fall. The two childhood friends spent 1 month recording the EP in Tao's studio apartment. It will be available digitally, physically, and emotionally.

Ecstasy – jj

Download
A very catchy and chill take on Lil’ Wayne’s “Lillipop”
