Covers and Mash-up Post!!!

Just been hearing a lot of covers and mash-ups recently and figured I throw them all in one post. Seriously there are some greats here that I dont think a lot of people have heard so make sure to check them all out.

To start things off is a cover of a Black Eyed Peas song. You all have heard this song and one day it will be the soundtrack to a mass murder when someone snaps from hearing it all the time. I am Noxious totally turns the song on its head and turns it into an indie anthem.

"I Gotta Feeling" - I am Noxious

"Promiscuous With You" - Party Ben (Nelly Furtado, Timbaland vs Michael Jackson)

I heard this song while walking in the park with my earbuds in, and it instantly put me in a good mood. I would like to post the song on here but last time I put a Party Ben track on, it got removed almost instantly so instead ill just tell you how to get it. Party Ben has a website where he features all his tracks, so just go there. Here is the link for the song: http://www.partyben.com/PartyBen-PromiscuousWithYou.mp3
I normally wouldnt put it up if I had to do it this way but this track is just too good.

Snoooop! Snooop-A-Loop! How about some Crowded House vs Snoop Dogg? Yes please.

Return of the Weather Episode - Go Home Productions (Snoop Dogg/Dr. Dre vs Crowded House)

Dj Lobsterdust really hits it on the head with this sombre mix. I didn't like it the first time I heard it, but it REALLY grew on me. Maybe not a song to dance too but still amazing none the less.

"Same Old Uniform" - Dj Lobsterdust (Bloc Party vs Four Tops)

If I told you that Chromeo did a cover song, you probably wouldnt guess it would be the Eagles. So they did exactly that, taking on I Cant Tell You Why. I however can tell you why this song works though. ITS FUCKING CHROMEO COVERING THE EAGLES. Enjoy this Zapp and Rogerish cover.

"I Can't Tell You Why" - Chromeo (Eagles Cover)

"Ginger Pubes" - Cookie Monsta

Are you ready for perhaps one of the filthiest, brown noise inducing, dubstep songs you have ever heard? Check out Cookie Monsta from the UK. Crank that fuckin' bass and make sure you are wearing diapers when listening to this one.

"How To Make it in America: The Mixtape"

Since I Need A Dolla was so popular on this site I figured why not take it back and showcase the album that its featured on (since its free). Presented by Cudi and Green Lantern, the mix features 18 tracks that can be heard throughout the series...at least to the best of my knowledge. A great mix of indie, electro and hip hop. I chose to preview some of my favs. and hopefully they give you an idea of the diversity of this mixtape. Definitely worth a download. Here's the track listing:

01 Kid Cudi & Dj Green Lantern - Intro
02 Jadakiss Feat. Sheek Louch - Searchin'
03 Dan Black Feat. Kid Cudi - Symphonies (Remix)

04 Nipsey Hussle Feat. Kc - Husslas State Of Mind
05 Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar
06 Yacht - Psychic City (Classixx Remix)

07 Chromeo - Night By Night
08 Duck Sauce - Anyway
09 Freddie Gibbs Feat. California Pudd - Playa (Capski Juke Remix)
10 Johnny Polygon - Riot Song
11 Holy Ghost! - Hold On

Barbera Streisand (Baby Diego Edit From Scratch) - Duck Sauce

This is one of a few remix's to Duck Sauces latest and so far unreleased track. Personally this is the first one to sound clean and thought out. So thats why it is gracing the walls of Dirty Physics. And you can all be sure that once the official track is released all you need to do is come here and check it out.
God how I love Duck Sauce

Wow - Siriusmo

Check out this sick track by Siriusmo. He hails from Berlin and has signed with BoysNoize records. while I was trolling I found out that Siriusmo has said he will not DJ or perform live, due to conflicting interests. It is said that he is interested in VST production and is a prolific graffiti artist. What a guy.

I Need A Dollar - Aloe Blacc

I also think this desirves a mention the beat and hook were mashed up with the previous Biggy track by DJ Dizzy. I have to admit I hadn't heard of Aloe Blacc before but this song is so good. I love when hip-hop or any artist samples or emulates older jazz sounds its a great way the new generation shows respect to the real ground breakers. This is going to be in everyone of my playlists for the forseeable future and it should be in yours too

I Need A Dollar - Aloe Blacc

Juicy Dollars (DJ Dizzy Mashup) - Notorious B.I.G vs. Aloe Blacc

What can I say this is a seriously tight mashup. Usually im not a fan of the whole mashup scene, I find that anyone with a computer and the ability to pirate ableton do mashups. Thats not to say there are no good people doing mashups, there are actually quite a few and anyone who listens can immediately hear the difference. This brings me to DJ Dizzy, this DJ brings it with this track. Also I love Biggy so that helps too. Enjoys this one guys

Not much more can be said about mash-up Gods STV SLV and ABX over at Hood Internet. Here is their take on Drake.

The Hood Internet - (This Shit Was) All I Know [Drake x Free Energy] by hoodinternet

Bye Bye Bye - Plants And Animals

The time has come and gone and i think it is only fitting that I say farewell to Google Player, its been with us through thick and thin even though it didn't always work. We spent many nights with you my friend and now I say bye in Dirty Physics fashion, now this song isn't electro but it kicks and as you can tell by the title it fits with the occasion.

Hold On Feat Amber Coffman (Sub Focus Remix) - Rusko

I really have to give credit to Sub Focus with this remix, what a different sounding remix. I find too many people take a song change it around a little and then take credit calling it their remix. This is the opposite, it screams originality and talent. Give this dub step a listen you wont regret it.

Music to kick off your weekend

It's Friday! Here's some tracks to groove to while you're getting ready to go out and hit the club, or see Iron Man 2, or while sitting at home playing the new maps on Call of Duty...I'll probably be doing all three.

"Shelter" (Death to the Throne remix) - The XX

Great remix of this tune by The XX . Look for more remixes of their self titled album to come, maybe even some by our buddy JTokyo.

"Some Chords" - Deadmau5

Here's a new track released by Toronto's own Deadmau5, which you will undoubtedly be hearing this summer at a club near you.

Download

"What You Need" (Hey Champ Remix) - Priors

There's a lot of remixes to be found of this song by Priors but this one is my favorite.

Download

"Black Sheep" - Metric

This song is not new. Metric has been playing it live at their shows for years now, but it's finally being released on the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World soundtrack out this summer.

Some news and tracks

Can you tell I couldn't figure out what picture to put with this post? Sorry for the delay between posts but google's player decided to stop working one day randomly. As you can tell this is what we mainly use but alas we are making the switch to flash player. So be patient with us as we go back and redo all the posts with the google player in them. So as I am learning to use this, here is 4 tracks that I have been meaning to post but haven't had the time.

"Little Secrets" (Plus Move Remix feat. Future Kiddd) - Passion Pit

I love passion pit and this is a great funky remix to one of their now classics. Starts slow but its worth the wait.

Download

"Four Floors" (Feat. Diplo) - Sunday Girl

Its easy to get caught up and lost in this one. The bass is crazy. Diplo pulls it off again. Dubstep ftw.

Download

"Something Good Can Work" (Ted & Francis Remix) - Two Door Cinema Club

Two Door Cinema Club has been making its way around the blogs and this song should be making its way on your ipod as you make your way to the beach.

Download

"Worse It Gets" (RAC Remix) - Penguin Prison

I feel this track should be used in a movie montage somewhere.
